Jung Kim is the partner and a principal lawyer at Jung Kim Law, PLLC. Jung obtained her Bachelor of Law at Ewha Womans [sic] University in 2001, one of the most prestigious universities in South Korea, and her JD from New York Law School in 2011. She was admitted to practice in New York State’s 1st Department in 2012.

Jung started her legal career as an associate at Lehach and Filippa, a respected and high-volume immigration law firm based in New York City, in 2013. Jung was quickly promoted to Managing Attorney in 2014 and became a partner of the firm in 2018 which she remained until January 2023. As a partner, she mainly focused on providing consultations and advice to new clients, exploring their immigration options and helping them chart their course through the U.S. immigration system, while continuing to oversee the firm’s attorneys and staff in addition to her own substantial caseload.
Since her admission to the bar in 2012, Jung has been practicing immigration law exclusively in both business and family based immigration including Non-Immigrant Visa and Immigrant Visa cases. Jung has a particular focus on business immigration visas for professionals and individuals of extraordinary ability (H1B, O1, E, and L) and green card-path options (EB1, NIW, PERM). During her over 10 years of practice, she has earned a reputation for in-depth and accurate case analysis, providing insightful and customized opinions to her clients, and for unflinching candor in her opinions on immigration options given to clients from all over the world.
Jung has also served as Of Counsel to KOTRA (the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency) New York, a national trade and business organization operated by the South Korean government, since 2020. Jung has earned considerable respect in her field by giving presentations to companies in New York and New Jersey, holding regular consultations with young Korean professionals about their visa options, and by authoring articles about U.S. visas published by KOTRA.
Jung is currently an active member of the American Immigration Attorneys Association (AILA).
